5th & 6th Class had a lovely start to the week, on Monday morning 12th May. De McNally from D'ink Studio came in and did a workshop with the pupils. This was organised through the library. In this workshop, the children learned, by watching a demonstration, how to make their own paper seed-mats. Some of the children had the opportunity to make their own paper. They then learned all about natural dyes and where they come from. Then using some pre-made seed mats and natural dyes provided, the children turned their seed mats into unique paintings which can be placed outside and watered. As the painting fades back into the soil it will soon be replaced by a swathe of wild flowers!
