On Tuesday 19th June, 4th and 5th Class experienced history brought to life on the replica of the Jeannie Johnston famine emigration ship. They then visited EPIC and used the high-tech interactive exhibit to discover the stories and achievements of some of those emigrants. The day ended with a visit to Glasnevin Cemetery where they encountered Daniel O’Connell, De Valera, Countess Markievicz, O’Donovan-Rossa, Cathal Brugha, and Michael Collins.

Dear School Community Member,

Members of Sixth Class have entered a competition run by SEAI (Sustainable Energy Association of Ireland) and have gotten through to the final 20.
The competition is called “One Good Idea” and our idea is to get people to turn off their car engine when it is not necessary to have it on, for  example; when waiting to collect someone from school; when dropping some off or when dropping someone in to the shop to pick up something quickly.
We hope you appreciate this email and take on board what we are encouraging you to do.
Our slogan is: ………
YOU MIGHT BE HERE FOR A WHILE,
SO TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE AND SMILE!
Thank you,
5th and 6th Class.
