4th and 5th Class had a lovely morning in Castletown today as they went on a tree trail around the grounds. They had a lovely picnic lunch in the sunshine before returning to school.

2nd and 3rd Class had a great day out visiting Kildrought House Gardens and the famine graveyard. They also had a special visit from a very famous automobile!

This year we had a “Sports Week” where each class had their own “Sports Day”. It was a very successful week with all children joining in with many exciting and fun sporting activities.

6th Class were out on a wonderful walking tour of Celbridge with local guide, Breda Konstantin, on Monday 14th June. They visited the Famine Graveyard, the Gates of Castletown House and the old school building beside the Church of Ireland and ended the tour in the Garden of Kildrought House, where they enjoyed an ice-cream.

Active Week was held from 31st May- 4th June 2021. All classes got involved with all the games and activities and we all had a great time!

On Monday we played THROLF (throwing golf).

On Tuesday we played RELEASE TAG.

On Wednesday we held a JERSEY JOG.

On Thursday we played SUIT SHUFFFLE.

On Friday we completed activities along our brand new ACTIVE WALKWAY.
