The children printed Robins using carrots. They then added wings, beaks and eyes.

2nd & 3rd were still hoping to see some snow for Christmas but in the meantime they made their own snowmen from clay. They painted them and added hats and plaited scarves. They look great.

First Class sewed snowmen and Christmas trees with wool onto Hessian to make these beautiful decorations!

Second Class used their sewing  skills to create these lovely felt Christmas stocking decorations.

Ancient and Modern Rome/Italy

In November, 2nd & 3rd Class were learning all about Italy and the Romans. They learned all about Pompeii and Vesuvius, the many attractions of the city of Rome and Pisa and the story of Romulus and Remus. They wrote postcards from Italy, advertisements for holidays to Italy and news reports about the devastation of the eruption of Vesuvius. In art they made Roman mosaics, pictures of Roman  pots and used clay to construct their own Roman pots.
