On Tuesday 10th November fourth, fifth and sixth class headed to the Botanic Gardens and Glasnevin cemetery. We all had a guided tour of the gardens and then fourth headed to the cemetery while fifth and sixth were given the opportunity to observe leaves, cones and flowers under microscopes.

We almost got caught in an artists impression of a giant cobweb, complete with a huge spider of which we were obviously terrified!

Our guide pointed out many interesting facts to us! He also mentioned that there was a huge amount of mistletoe in the gardens. We tried really hard to avoid it!

We worked in groups to observe closely various leaves and flowers. Some of us even found some ‘wildlife’, invisible to the naked eye!

We also discovered a place to go if we ever wish to grow huge cabbages!!!
